Field & Flower Limited
Case Study

Overview:

field&flower are a leading online food subscription business, who supply free-range, grass-fed meat and sustainably caught fish direct to consumer. The business saw an unprecedented demand for its service as the Covid-19 pandemic escalated and lockdown was introduced, driving significant volumes of customers overnight. field&flower’s business model was built for scale, and they were able to react fulfil these orders. field&flower performed a risk assessment and identified the need to invest in IT infrastructure in order to sustain the ongoing growth and provide for continuity across the business, and the need to set up infrastructure to enable staff to work efficiently from home.

Result:

Red Dragon were initially tasked with bolstering the technical platforms that sit behind the Operational fulfilment side of the business, which involved upgrading the hardware and network infrastructure.  As part of a wider consultation, Red Dragon’s remit then expanded to moving the business into a cloud infrastructure and harnessing Microsoft 365 through Teams and SharePoint to provide an enterprise level platform for collaboration and file-sharing from both multiple sites and staff working from home.

"Red Dragon IT has played a pivotal role in supporting the growth in our business - as a 24-hour, 7 days a week operation, the technical advice, quick response and flexible support, both remote and on site, has been crucial and I would recommend their services to any business"

Celtic Credit Union
Case Study

Overview:

Celtic Credit Union was set up to help local people - providing straightforward, affordable financial services to its members.  With a dedicated Business Centre in the centre of Neath along with branches in Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea.  The business had outgrown its existing IT infrastructure and identified a need for a managed service to help steer the organisation and provide a robust and secure platform from which to operate from.

Result:

Red Dragon proposed a Fully Managed IT services solution, which would allow us to take full ownership of all day-to-day IT operations, taking on the responsibility to maintain, develop and improve Celtic Credit Union’s IT infrastructure.  This included an overhaul and adoption of an Active Directory environment coupled with Exchange Enterprise Email and Collaboration coupled with improved security and off-site backup in addition to acting as a liaison with the 3rd party vendors on their behalf.

"The advice and guidance provided by Red Dragon has been outstanding, not only in respect of wholesale restructuring but also regarding managed services and troubleshooting. The experience we have with Red Dragon gives us total confidence to put them in charge of the project."

Diamond Centre of Wales
Case Study

Overview:

Since 1983, Diamond Centre Wales has earned a reputation for creating beautiful, bespoke, sparkling, diamond jewellery.  Back in 2008 Kelvin, Sharon and the team at the Diamond Centre recognised the need for a robust IT set-up to meet their business needs. It was essentials that we delivered precisely in order to meet the demands of both upscale and expansion over the next decade. With clear and open lines of communication, Red Dragon and Diamond Centre of Wales formed a strong partnership from the start.

Result:

Red Dragon were initially tasked with overhauling the business by upgrading both hardware and existing peer-to-peer network infrastructure coupled with a managed IT Service including desktop, network and server support.  Gradually the business has expanded and along with it the IT network has increased in size almost ten-fold into a multi-server infrastructure with dedicated leased line to support CAD & App development coupled with expansion into education and training.  At the core of the relationship is Red Dragon’s focus on enterprise level service and strategic guidance to ensure the Diamond Centres IT infrastructure continues to work well and supports the business continued growth and development.

"Working with Red Dragon IT has allowed our IT infrastructure to keep up with the challenges and demands of rapid expansion of Diamond Centre Wales over the past 16 years. No issue has ever been too big, or too small. From Lost files, to server migrations, to custom bespoke software, everything was thoroughly researched, communicated & costed."
